History

Three Hopes

Arjuna was raised in an isolated village near Ordelia Territory, by his adoptive mother who gave him his name. His early childhood memories are hazy, other than the kind treatment he received growing up and the wealth of knowledge his mother possessed. However, early into his teenage years, she passed away. Arjuna was left alone once more, and left his village to seek work and a life for himself.Over the next few years, he joined and departed from a handful of mercenary companies. In 1179, Arjuna, often called June, was a member of Berling's Mercenaries. When the lord who had hired them sent them into battle against another company, Berling and the rest of the company perished thanks to the devastating ace of Jeralt's Mercenaries: The Ashen Demon. June would have perished as well, had a sleeping power not awakened within him. A being called Arval gave him the strength to fight on, and Jeralt called off his men as their job was complete.June spent the next half a year training and trying to tail down Jeralt's Mercenaries, seeking to get payback for the thrashing he'd taken months ago. Before he could find them however, he encountered a trio of young adults fleeing from the Iron King's Bandits. After helping them route the rogues, they introduce themselves as the heirs to the Adrestian Empire, Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and Leicester Alliance. June returns to Garreg Mach Monastery where they are attending the Officer's Academy, and is enrolled free of charge as thanks for saving the very important students. The time spent at the Academy is brief however, as conflict arises in each of the major regions and all students return home. June stays with the leader of his house, and ends up serving as a member of their army when they take control of their lands. Two years later, war is declared by the Empire, and June is charged to lead the army as a commander in the battles to come.

Three Houses

In another world however, June has a different fate. Arval's power did not awaken and give him the strength to fight back, but merely revived him from the grave soon after his death. The experience caused his memory to become foggy, and he could not quite recall what happened to him or Berling's Mercenaries. With far less vigor and bravado, June wanders Fódlan in search of work once more.During the Red Wolf Moon of 1180, June ends up on the outskirts of Remire Village as the calamity begins. Though he isn't monetarily incentivized, he joins in suppressing the rampaging villagers and fighting off the dark mages lead by Solon. If a majority of the villagers are saved, June returns to the Monastery with the students and is offered a scholarship for the rest of the year at the academy. If not, he stays in the village to help rebuild.Once the war has begun, June breaks off on his own and forms the Rising Star Mercenaries. Arval fully awakens in this time, and June gains the powers of the Flugel class. If he was recruited during the Academy Phase, he rejoins the Professor and his class once they awake. If not, he and his band are contracted by another army. As an enemy, he can still be recruited if the Ashen Demon defeats him personally. In either scenario, near the end of the war, he has a duel with the Ashen Demon and unlocks the Asura class.

Trivia

Trivia about my portrayal of Shez.• Arjuna is a hero in Hindu mythology, who slew many monsters and warriors with the knowledge granted by his mentor Krishna. He was conceived from a blessing Indra, the god of rain who slew Vritra, demonic king of the wicked Asura.
• Bhartrihari was a Sanskrit writer who wrote many influential texts, including one of the earliest examinations of the liars paradox/Epimenedes paradox.
• The Danava are the faction of demonic or wicked Asura that fight against the benevolent Varuna. They battle over the Amrita, the Elixir of Immortality.
• He does not know his own birthday, and it was never celebrated. June just knows how old he is on rough estimation.
• Flügel, the German word for wing, is also a nickname of the Harpsichord. The German name of the Harsichord is the Cembalo, which is pronounced very similarly to Shambala. This is just a fun fact I found while diving through Wikipedia pages and is likely coincidental.
